How Thermal Screening can prevent the spread of COVID19?
Can thermal cameras be used to detect a virus or an infection?
The answer is NO.
A thermal imager can only give you the temperature of a person, However, one of the symptoms of a virus infection is an increase in body temperature (Fever). A Thermal Imaging camera is primarily used to mass screen persons entering premises and isolate those with elevated temperature for further screening.
Why is Thermal Screening required for factories and offices?
Offices and factories starting operations during a pandemic situation of COVID-19 are looking forward to providing a safe working environment to employees. In order to minimize the risk of virus spreading, the prime method is Thermal Screening of each entrant. Entrants with abnormally high temperatures (COVID Suspects) are then filtered out to ensure a safe working place for co-workers.
Abnormally high temperature can be at any point on the face and can hardly be detected by single point temperature measurement devices.

Human Elevated Body Temperature Detection system by AGILE

ALARM SETTING MODES IN HETD
The solution allows user to define alarm temperature using two ways as under
- Users can define alarm temperature from 99.0ºF to 101.5ºF on the setting console available on the home page.
- Users can enable an auto alarm temperature setting. In this mode, the system will initially start with a user-defined temperature setting say 99.9ºF. The system will determine and log the maximum face temperature of the first 10 healthy entrants. It then gets an average of 10 entrants having a temperature within permissible limits. And will set an alarm temperature by adding 2ºF to the average. Means in case an average of 10 healthy entrants is 97.5 ºF, the alarm temperature will be frozen to 99.5 ºF.
